Time For A Break

I wasn't sure what to expect from myself when I decided to start up my blog again. Would I be able to come up with enough things to write about? Would I be able to keep up with my desired pace of one post per week? I believe I have found my answer to that. Starting at the end of May, I've since wrote twenty-nine posts including this one. (That makes fifty-one total posts if you count the ones I wrote under the blog title Electric Feast.) Some are shorter, but for the most part, the posts are pretty meaty.

After plenty of thought, I have decided the best thing for the blog and myself would be to take a break. This doesn't mean I've stopped or will stop working on it. What it means is the blog isn't the only creative outlet I have, and I need to transfer some of that mojo into other projects. I need that for me. I also want to make sure that I can sustain the blog going forward and that means it can't always be a full-time, never-breaking endeavor. I don't want to burn out and then burn up the blog.

So, what further does this mean?

This doesn't mean you won't see another post until next summer. What this does mean is that I'm planning on not posting for at least a month. When I do resume posting, most likely in February but possibly March, expect there to be some missed weeks here and there. If this blog is going to stay around for years, there will be some ebb and flow in the process --unless writing this blog becomes profitable. I'll take your money.

What are you going to do during that time?

I will still be writing posts and contemplating the blog. Perhaps, I'll be working on the writing of other things as well. Mainly, I'll be working on music and music related business. There always seems to be random things coming up, not to forget holidays and school breaks. Plus, I think my family likes spending time with me. I really don't know why.

Don't be surprised if I end up still posting quite a bit or have regular posts coming weeks at a time. I'm predictably unpredictable. Or not. We will see how it goes. One thing I know for sure is that you won't be reading any new posts earlier than February. There's no excuse for you to not be caught up on your reading by then.

See you in the new year!
